Lot Description

A Victorian silver vinaigrette of oblong form, reeded edge, foliate scroll rim, engine turned decoration, central vacant shield shaped cartouche and opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior with floral scroll pierced grille. Hallmarked Francis Clark Birmingham 1843. Length measuring 3 cm, weight 12.5 grams.

The vinaigrette displays display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Dint to case back. Areas of discolouration to the silver-gilt interior. The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible.
