Lot Description

Two Victorian open salts, each of circular bulbous form, on three pad feet, with floral embossed sides and milled rims. Hallmarked Henry Wilkinson & Co, Sheffield 1865 and Alexander Macrae, London 1875. Diameters 2 and 1 5/8 inches. Weight 2.46 ozt (76.5 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The smaller salt has black spot to the inside, the larger salt has scuffs an scratches to the inside. Hallmarks slightly rubbed but legible.
