Art Nouveau silver vesta case of rectangular panelled form and embossed with stylised curved foliate tendrils. Hallmarked William Comyns & Sons Ltd Birmingham 1905. Height measuring 5 cm, weight 32.5 grams.

The vesta case displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing, some deeper scratches visible along with minor shallow dents. A little rubbing and loss of definition to the decoration and detail but in keeping with the age and use. The hinge is a little loose, the lid easily rising a little in the closed position. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
