A pair of late 19th century French 18ct gold diamond snake earrings. Each designed as a coiled snake, with open mouth and foliate engraved head. French assay marks. Length 3cms. Weight 8.7gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. There are some small, more noticeable dents to the side of one of the snakes. The earrings have hinged hook fittings for pierced ears. The kite-shape makers marks are only partially struck with what looks like a flowers head, the second initial M.
