Lot Description
Two late 19th century gold gem bar brooches. The first designed as a circular-shape garnet collet, to the split pearl and filigree bar, the second designed as a circular-shape blue gem, within a foliate surround to the double bar. Lengths 4.1 and 3.7cms. Weight 3.9gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair to poor. There is wear, discolouration and dents to both pieces, there is solder repair to the back of the filigree brooch and damage to the outer rim, the back pin is metal and has been replaced, the central garnet is in good condition, there is damage to the nacre of one split pearl. The central blue-gem to the floral brooch is loose and would need to be secured, it is off streight in the setting and would need attention, there is serious discolouration and wear to the bar, the back pin is metal and has been replaced.
