Lot Description
An early 20th century platinum and gold aquamarine, diamond and seed pearl bar brooch. Of openwork design, the pear-shape aquamarine, within a seed pearl and diamond point heart-shape surround, to the plain bar. Six imitation pearl replacements. Length 4.7cms. Weight 6.5gms.

Overall condition good. Estimated weight of aquamarine 2.75cts. One cluster and seed pearl spacer have been replaced with imitation pearls. Some diamond points may also be replacements. Main component may have originated as a pendant, with later conversion into a bar brooch. Main component dated early 20th century. Bar brooch probably of slightly later period.
