A late 19th century gold amethyst sentimental brooch. The replacement foil-back amethyst cabochon, within a rope-twist and bead detail surround, to the arranged hair panel reverse. Diameter 3.1cms. Weight 10.6gms.

Overall condition good with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The amethyst is in good condition, light to medium purple hue. Some tarnish marks to reverse. With replacement pin. The mount, surrounding hair is 9ct gold, with the front ranging from 15ct to 18ct gold.
