Lot Description
An early 20th century 15ct gold peridot and split pearl necklace. Designed as a graduated series of circular-shape peridot and split pearl drops, suspended from an alternating line of split pearl marquise-shape panels and floral clusters, to the trace-link back-chain and barrel clasp. Principal drop deficient. Length 44cms. Weight 14.4gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in fair overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Stamped 15ct. There is an area of heavier scratches to the reverse of one of the marquise-shape spacers, where someone has scratched a serial number, with slight associated discolouration. The principal drop is deficient, as is one of the split pearls to one of the marquise-shape spacers. Some of the split pearls are significantly discoloured, ranging from creamy white, through creamy yellow and dark grey tones. The peridot show slightly different saturations of colour. One of the peridot has a shallow chip, most show significant abrasion.
