Lot Description
A mid 20th century 18ct gold sapphire and diamond ring. The rectangular-shape sapphire, weighing 11.62cts, to the baguette-cut diamond sides and double band. Accompanied by a report from AnchorCert stating that the sapphire has no indications of heat treatment. Please contact the department for full details of the report. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct. Weight 7.4gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Stamp only partially struck for 750. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The sapphire is a slightly grey, purplish blue hue with moderate abrasion and small nicks to the girdle. There is minor colour zoning. The sapphire has numerous broken silk inclusions which reflect brightly at certain angles. The diamonds appear bright and well matched. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. Ring size L 1/2. The ring has two small spheres of metal to act as a resize.
