Lot Description
A late 19th century 18ct gold amethyst and seed pearl brooch. The circular-shape amethyst, within a geometric cannetille and seed pearl double surround. Diameter 3.3cms. Weight 11.6gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Varying discolouration to the gold. The clasp is a modern replacement with soft solder evident. The amethyst is a deep purple hue with minor abrasions and some slight colour zoning and eye visible typical inclusions. The seed pearls are moderately well matched with slight variance in the shape, colour and lustre quality. Safety chain loop later base metal addition.
