An early 20th century 9ct gold gem-set expanding mesh purse. The circular mesh purse with expanding collar, to the vari-cut diamond monogram and turquoise cabochon hinged lid, suspended from a belcher-link chain to the openwork scrolling band ring. Length, excluding handle 11.5cms. Weight 64.9gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in fair to good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Wear to the gilt finish. Stamped JM&Co, 9k. The inside of the lid is gilt metal, stamped "patented". The band ring has a small section of fret work missing. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated total diamond weight 0.20ct. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones.
