A 9ct gold manual wind gentleman's trench style J.W Benson wrist watch, the white enamel dial with hourly applied Arabic numerals, bordered by a minute track, cream subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, round case hallmarked Birmingham 1937, fitted to a black leather strap with pin buckle, unsigned movement. Case diameter 32mm.

J. W. Benson wrist watch, movement is currently functioning however it is tough to wind movement which may indicate deeper problem with the movement, movement shows scratches, dirt and tarnishing, dial shows marks from previous use, subsidiary seconds dial shows discolouration and marks, there is a hair visible between dial and glass, hands show scratches from use, glass is lightly scratched from use, case has medium scratches from use, case back is scratched and lightly dented, it is tough to secure case back to case, hinge appears to function, watch is fitted to a leather strap which is showing creases and cracks from use, lower portion of leather strap is not secure to fixed lugs and will come away easily which will require repair for use.
This lot does not come with box or papers.
Due to the opening of the case back we recommend that this lot be resealed by an authorised technician before use near water.
