A late 19th century gold amethyst and enamel mourning brooch. The oval-shape amethyst, to the cartouche-shape surround, with black and white enamel decoration and rope-twist detail. Length 4.2cms. Weight 13gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The amethyst is a replacement, the top is faceted. There are small dents to the back of the brooch. The pin is a base metal replacement.
