A late 19th century diamond brooch and an amethyst pin. The first designed as a bead and rope-twist oval-shape brooch with rose-cut diamond detail, the second designed as an oval-shape amethyst within a plain mount. Lengths 4.4 and 1.8cms. Weight 18.1gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The amethyst pin has pitting to the surround and wear to the gilt finish. The amethyst is a deep purple hue, minor abrasions. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The diamond-set brooch has significant discolouration and heavier scratches to the reverse. The diamond appears moderately bright, estimated diamond weight 0.005ct, the diamond is too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades.
