Lot Description

A 1950s 9ct gold fox head bar brooch. The textured fox head, with circular-shape ruby eyes, to the plain bar. Sponsors stamp C&F, for Cropp and Farr. Hallmarks for London, 1950. Length 6.2cms. Weight 7.5gms.

Overall condition fair. There are slight scratches to the brooch in keeping with minor wear. There is a file and acid mark to the pin where the metal has been tested. The ruby eyes are in good condition. There is a ridge and areas of discolouration to the back of the fox head. The back pin and catch is secure.
