Lot Description

A 1920s Art Deco ruby and diamond ring. The oval-shape ruby, within a baguette and single-cut diamond surround, to the foliate engraved shoulders and plain half band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct. Weight 4gms.

Overall condition good to fair.  The ruby displays a deep red saturation of colour, there are three small nibbles along the facet edge on one side of the table. The pavilion of the stone has also incurred a small chip. The diamonds are bright and lively and well matched. There is only a small amount of  wear to the gallery in keeping with the ring being worn and the shoulders still display their engraving. The hoop on the underside has worn thin. Ring size J. Jade untested for natural colour origin.
