Lot Description
An 18ct gold sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The oval-shape sapphire, within a brilliant-cut diamond surround, to the tapered shoulders and plain band. Dimensions of sapphire 11.6 by 8.8 by 4.3mm. Estimated total diamond weight 1.40cts, H-I colour, SI1-P2 clarity. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1980. Weight 6.8gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. There are scratches and areas of significant discolouration to the ring and setting. There is significant abrasion to the facet edges of the sapphire and some abrasion to the facet faces. There is angular colour zoning visible with magnification. The sapphire is dark blue and appears translucent to opaque. The diamonds are bright, one diamond is significantly chipped. Some of the settings may need to be secured. Ring size J.
