Lot Description

A pair of late 19th century oriental silver coral ear clips and a ring. The earrings designed as a carved coral qilin within a rope-twist and bead surround, the ring designed as a carved coral floral panel to the plain band. Diameter of ear clips 2.7cms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The ear clips are converted from another piece of jewellery. Stamped silver, one stamped China. The mounts show discolouration. Some of the coral mounts are broken. The coral is a mottled pink hue with discolouration to the highlights. The ring is a later fitting to the floral coral panel. The coral panel is a slightly mottled deep orangey pink hue. Length of panel 3.3cms. Coral untested for natural colour origin. Weight 25.6gms.
