A Villeroy & Boch relief moulded stoneware jar and cover, the latter with dodecagonal spire finial surmounted by a figure, the cylindrical body well modelled with spiral frieze of figures alternating with bands of Gothic tracery and German text, green printed marks and impressed 168 mark, 20" (51cm) high

Restoration to finial and to rim of body but visible crack remains to latter. Cover is slightly different colour and a little small possibly associated.
