A 19th century tea caddy of rounded oblong form, the hinged cover with central brass cartouche having cursive ownership initials WJMRR, enclosing a single compartment with tortoiseshell cover, 4" x 3" x 3.5" high (10cm x 7.5cm x 9cm)

Condition Report
Cover- three of four corners have losses. Ivory edging to underside of cover and to top of body both defective (including loss where lid should have a hole for release catch. Cracks over both hinges. Internal lid has a later catch. Body has losses to corners and back edge. Underside has no plinth/feet so bottom edge susceptible to damage.
