A large Japanese Meiji period ivory okimono. Of sectional form, modelled as a spear-fisherman with headscarf, holding a bamboo-handled spear, wearing an apron and a tied belt, a pot of fish and tree stumps at his feet to the naturalistic mound base, red signature beneath, 34cm, (13.3") high.

Condition Report
Widening of joints to shoulders and neck. One section of drapery missing to robe - 6cm deep x 2cm wide. The tree stumps are loose. Some overall fine grey cracking to much of figure, plus a darker crack to base - see additional images.
