A good late 19th/early 20th century Indian carved ivory figure of Shiva, the four-armed deity portrayed in standing posture with hands in abhaya mudra, within finely pierced surround on lotus support, 12.5", (31.5cm) high, in very good condition, on a spreading hardwood stand, 16", (41cm) high overall.

Tiny hairline to base, very slight loss to one disc verso, otherwise in excellent order with piercing structurally sound. Stand could be a later custom-made addition, as little wear.
