An Indian carved ivory tusk, of large size, carved with a procession of nine graduated elephants, their trunks curled in alternate directions, walking towards pierced and carved fruiting vine, external arc 77.5cm, (30.5"), on a carved ebony tripod stand to each end, maximum height 20cm, (8").

Condition Report
Minor crack beside one screw hole where tusk affixes to stand at broad end; other screw to that end is missing. Ebony stand to that end is lacking one ball and claw foot (broken at knee). Minor grey haircracks to base of tusk. Reglued break to tip of tusk at narrow end, with four grey cracks beside.
