An unusual late 19th century gilt bronze inkwell modelled as an Indian elephant with howdah, the howdah with hinged lifting cover revealing an aperture for a ceramic or glass inkwell liner (missing) and decorated with four garnets, 4" x 3.25" (10cm x 8.25cm)
