An early 20th century gas safety lamp. The 'Spiralarm' by J. H. Naylor Ltd., Wigan, believed a various type 'S' (for sewer work) with frilled lobed vent over brass two cagework sections, the lower with red glass chamber, 13.5", (34.5cm) high excluding suspension hook.
