Lot Description

Richard Hamilton (1922-2011).
"Just what is it that makes today's homes so different, so appealing?",
a limited edition colour laser print,
produced for the BBC television programme QED, broadcast 21st April 1993.
after Hamilton's 1956 original collage
(considered one of the first 'Pop Art' works),
numbered 4248/5000 and signed in pencil lower right
11.5" x 8", (21cm x 29.5cm), unframed but glazed, with literature.
This pioneering print used new technology such as flatbed scanners, Apple Mac computers and digital cameras with new processing software. An exhibition of Hamilton's works is being held from the 10th October 2012 until the 13th January 2013 in the Sunley Room of the National Gallery,
