Lot Description

A 1942 signed 'Hollywood Victory Caravan' souvenir. From the Convention Hall, Philadelphia, May 2nd, comprising a poster signed by twenty-two including; Cary Grant, Charles Boyer, James Cagney, Bing Crosby, Groucho Marx, Bob Hope, Merle Oberon, Olivia de Havilland and Claudette Colbert, together with a souvenir programme page from the Coliseum, Houston, in one frame. Sold with original  auction lot description as purchased by the current owner.
The Victory Caravan was a three-week celebrity fundraising railroad tour to promote War Bonds. A retrospective film of the event was released in 1945.

Light edge creasing and wear to right side of poster. Fading to some signatures but most colours still strong. Central fold to Houston programme. Otherwise good in modern mount and frame.
