Lot Description

A Victorian Staffordshire pottery 'Vicar and Moses' pulpit figure group, after the Ralph Wood original, the clerk Moses preaching whilst the Vicar sleeps above, the pulpit decorated with black sponging on a brick red ground, dry-bodied rimless base, 9.5", (24cm) high.

Several small foot chips. Some overpainting to rear of pulpit suggests restoration, but could simply be black paint oxidising. General paint blistering (some over glaze).
