Lot Description

An early 20th century chinoiserie bracket clock, the movement by Jahresuhrenfabrik, circa 1930, having a 4.25" silvered Arabic dial, the two-train movement half hour striking on a coiled gong, with double elephant stamp, the case with brass handle over pagoda top and canted body, decorated in shallow relief with a gilt figure and pavilions, on brass bun feet, 13.75" (35cm) high excluding handle, sold with pendulum and winder

Dial has minor tarnish. Movement appears clean but is untested. Case - general fine crazing to lacquer. Crack to lower half of one side panel, plus full depth splits to back edges of sides where joins in timber have stressed the lacquer. Could be minimised by gluing and clamping. Joint of plinth similar 'gapped'. One brass rear foot replaced
