Lot Description
A rare 18th century Delft model of a hare or rabbit. Modelled in recumbent pose, the large ears and rounded hollow body both decorated with flowers, the glass eyes with blue irises, underglaze blue monogram 'VD' beneath, 3.5" long x 2.75" high, (9cm x 6.5cm).
Three factories are know to have used this monogram from the late 17th century onwards - De Klauw, De Roos and De Fortuyn.

General rubs to ears and typical slight fritting to foot rim (including one front paw) - but essentially good condition for age and material.
