Lot Description
A 17th century oak joint stool. Probably Charles II, circa 1660-80, the moulded rectangular seat over a channel-moulded frieze on 'gun-barrel' supports with plain stretchers, 17" x 11" x 22" high, (43cm x 28cm x 56cm).

Condition Report
Old worm scarring and losses along one long side edge of the seat, and to one corner of same. Small tight split to seat. Old losses to ring knops at tops of legs. Old split to top of one block. One leg has cracking and losses to lower section (probably also worm-related). Worm to one stretcher, crack beneath another. Overall - some damage commensurate with age, but still very usable and attractive.
