A loose sapphire with original mount. The oval-shape, slightly orangey yellow sapphire, weighing 22.37cts, with original early 20th century gold openwork mount. Weight of mount 1.7gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The mount has a small break and shows wear and two possible small repairs. The claws may need attention. The sapphire is a slightly orangey yellow hue with moderate-strong saturation and moderate tone. The sapphire has two small nicks to the girdle. The sapphire has numerous small surface reaching feathers and partially healed feathers to the upper facets and near the girdle, there is a larger surface reaching partially healed feather to the pavillion facets and a small cavity. There is a slight window effect through the table facet. Sapphire dimensions: 18.2 by 12.72 by 9.92mms deep.
