A pair of early twentieth century silver candlesticks, each raised above wide circular bases with stepped detail to the narrow stem and urn shaped sockets, weighted bases. Hallmarked William Aitken Birmingham 1915. Height measuring 6 1/4 inches (16 cm).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Compression dents to both where the stem meets the base, far more significant to one than the other. Crude paper coverings to the wooden bases. The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible, date letter completely rubbed to one.
