Lot Description
A pair of George III silver sauce boats with high arch leaf capped double scroll handle, floral scroll embossing to the body with beaded rim and raised above three shell mounted hoof feet. Hallmarked London 1777, the maker tentatively attributed to Charles Hougham. Height including handle 5 1/4 inches (13 cm), gross weight 17.28 ozt (537 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Wear to the detail of the decoration, particular damage and solder repairs to both sides on each sauce boat. The feet have slightly imprinted to to the inner. The cartouche are vacant. The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible, particularly the maker's marks.
