Victorian silver desk inkstand of oblong form, dual sunken channels, central square glass inkwell and raised on four shell and scroll feet. Hallmarked John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater London 1886. Length measuring 8 1/2 inches (22 cm), gross silver weight 9.8 ozt (306 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Areas of further tarnishing and would benefit from a clean and polish. The mount to the inkwell is white metal and unmarked, minor chips visible to the glass. Hallmarks only to the underside of the inkwell are clear and legible.
