Lot Description

Art Nouveau silver five piece condiment set with foliate mounted triform linear handles and blue glass. Hallmarked S W Smith & Co Birmingham 1906. Height of peppers measuring 3 1/4 inches (8 cm).

Postage: Auction Default

Total lot weight: No

All the pieces in the lot display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use.  Heavier tarnishing and also some greenish patches are visible to some areas, especially rims, and all the pieces would benefit from a clean and polish.  There are some deeper scratches and various minor surface nicks.  The glass liners of the two open salts appear jammed in place.  Some rubbing and a little distortion to hallmarks and maker's marks but still mainly legible.
