Lot Description
A nineteenth century silver plated wine coaster with fruiting vine border, wooden base and silver crested button. Made by James Dixon & Sons, marked PNS and numbered 329L. Maximum diameter measuring 8 1/2 inches (22 cm).

Condition Report
The coasters displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Remnants of polish to the recess. The plating has worn particularly to the raised surfaces of the fruiting vines. One leaf also has worn through with a hole visible. The wooden base and material under display obvious wear and tear. Central crested button with lion passant and maker's mark only. Plate marks to the lower rim are clear and legible.
