Lot Description

Continental cased set of serving cutlery, possibly German, comprising two toasting forks and two various knives, each with a gold coloured decorative handle with a cherub's head terminal.  Length of toasting fork measures 9 1/4 inches (23.5 cm).

The four items all display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use.  The gold coloured plating is coming off in some areas, especially to parts of the fork prongs and knife blades.  The knife blades are also quite badly scratched and marked.  The handles are quite faded in places.  Damage and deterioration to the case.
