An urn shaped caster, possibly Colonial, raised above a circular footed base with reeded rim, engraved crest, gadrooned rim and detachable screw lid with pierced holes. Spurious marks to the underside of the base resembling London 1810, lid unmarked. Height measuring 3 ½ inches (9 cm), weight 3.4 ozt (106 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Repairs and pitting to the lid, screw mechanism is not smooth. Crest rubbed. Green discolouration to the foot. Knock to foot and wobbles. Interior has been gilded. The lid unmarked. Seam visible to the body.
