Lot Description

A pair of late nineteenth century continental table salts, of goblet form, the plain bowl with ridged rim, on a circular pedestal foot, with crest engraving. Height 2 1/2 inches (6.4cm). Weight 9.41 ozt (292.5 grams).

The lot is in fair overall condition with scratches and dents in keeping with general wear. There are areas of slightly heavier scratches and associated discolouration.  There are some small splits and repairs, with more noticeable dents. There are traces of a gilt finish to the inside of the bowl. The crest is of a portcullis and arm, with F initial. Diameter of bowls 3 1/4 inches (8.3cm). Unhallmarked.
