Lot 368

Lot Description

Asian matched pair of open salts, each of part globular form with circular footed base, slightly varying in design but both decorated throughout with floral and foliate motifs and stylised snake detail, and with a conforming snake handle to one side (one with filled base).  Maximum height including handle measures 5.5 cm.

Both display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use.  Heavy tarnishing and remnants of polish are visible and both would benefit from a clean and polish.  The foot rim on one is filled in.  On the other, the foot rim displays some small knocks/dints.  They are slightly different in design and the handles are a slightly different size and shape.
