Lot 371

Lot Description

An Italian silver small dish, of plain oval form with a pie crust style rim, struck with 800 in an oval cartouche, the five pointed star symbol and province mark PD for Padova, maximum length measures 16 cm, weight 128.8 grams;  together with a single continental spoon, a pair of late Victorian silver embossed trinket dishes and pair of sugar nips, a Victorian mother of pearl and silver teddy rattle and a mother of pearl handled fruit knife with silver blade. (7).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

All items in the lot display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  The Italian dish has numerous deeper scratches and nicks, especially visible to the interior.  Italian marks are slightly rubbed.  There is some quite heavy tarnishing to the other items and they would benefit from a clean and polish.  Some cracks and splits in the metal and various holes in the embossed decoration of the pair of dishes.  The silver blade of the fruit knife appears quite worn and blunt towards the tip and there is some damage to the handle.  Some rubbing but hallmarks are mainly legible.
