Lot Description

Early twentieth century silver Hanoverian Rat-tail soup ladle.  Hallmarked William Hutton & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1920.  Length measures 12 5/8 inches (32 cm), weight 9.29 ozt (289 grams).

The ladle displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the use.  The metal is quite dull and matt in appearance and there are numerous nicks and deeper scratches all over the metal and also numerous pitting marks.  The hallmarks are clear and legible.
