Lot Description

Four George III silver tablespoons and five matching table forks, in Fiddle and Thread pattern, hallmarked William Eley & William Fearn, London 1799;  together with two similar dessert spoons, hallmarked William Theobalds, London 1837, a Victorian plain Fiddle pattern tablespoon and three Victorian Beaded pattern dessert forks  Gross combined weight 31.82 ozt (989.5 grams). (15).

All pieces in the lot display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Most of the pieces are in fairly poor condition, especially the spoon bowls, which are quite misshapen in places and very worn towards the tips.  There is also considerable wear to the fork prongs.  There is some rubbing and distortion but the hallmarks are mainly still legible.
