Lot Description

1920's silver cased set of six teaspoons and pair of sugar nips, each with tapered stem and shaped terminal, hallmarked Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1922 (sugar nips 1921);  together with a further cased set of six silver teaspoons, hallmarked William Philip Whiteman, Sheffield 1918, and a cased set of six silver coffee bean spoons, hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd., Birmingham 1924.  Gross combined weight 6.59 ozt (205 grams).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

All the spoons display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Some deeper scratches and nicks are visible.  A couple of the spoon bowls in the first set display some dints towards the tips and there is more wear to all the bowls through general usage, however on the whole, the spoon bowls have faired quite well.  A couple of the thin stems on the coffee spoons are a little bent and out of shape.  Some rubbing to hallmarks, mainly on the coffee spoons, however all are legible.
