Lot Description

An early Victorian Edinburgh silver mulling pot, the cylindrical body with stepped lip and monogram, with detachable ebonised handle. Hallmarked James McKay, Edinburgh 1842. Height 3 1/2 inches (8.9cm). Weight 4.23 ozt (131.76 grams).

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The body is very slightly off round and has some deeper scratches to the inside. There are some small, noticeable dents to the base and base edge. The S is monogrammed to the side. The hallmarks are worn.
