Lot Description
A 1920's silver travelling communion set modelled as a miniature goblet with IHS christogram engraving, detachable pyx box and the lid surmounted with a Maltese cross. Hallmarked B & W Ltd London 1923. Height measuring 4 1/4 inches (11 cm), weight 3.3 ozt (104 grams).

Condition Report
The item displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Some heavier tarnishing is visible and it would benefit from a clean and polish. The detachable box has a bayonet style fitting and appears locked in position, therefore it does require some attention. There is a knock to the protruding rim at the top of the goblet/base of the box. The inner rim of the box has a knock on one side and is very slightly misshapen. The rim of the lid also has a slight knock on one side. Hallmarks to main body are clear and legible, however the marks on the lid are quite rubbed and distorted.
