Lot Description

A 1920's silver and tortoiseshell mounted bedside clock of shaped arch form, the circular metal dial with gold coloured Arabic numerals, in original fitted case with easel back.  Silver hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd., Birmingham 1924.  Maximum height measures 3 1/2 inches (9 cm).

The clock displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use.  The silver mount is quite tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish.  The hallmarks are clear and legible.  There are several large cracks visible in the tortoise shell and some small edge nicks and chips.  Some deterioration, damage and discolouration to case.
