Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. There is a soft solder repair to the hinge, to one of the smaller sides where the basket weave reaches the plain edge and a spot of soft solder to the strapping. The cartouche has lines running across it, possibly from removing a previous monogram. There is slight give to the weaving towards the centre of the piece. The Russian marks appear partly distorted.
