Lot Description

A cased pair of Victorian silver salts, each designed as a scrolling shell raised on three ball feet, with bead terminal salt spoons. Hallmarked Joseph Jennens & Co, Birmingham 1875. Length of salt 5 cm. Weight 19.5 grams.

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. There is small black spotting and loss to the gilt interior of the salts. Hallmarks clear. The box has a section missing to the front also displaying general wear.
